Peter is a chemist by profession, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

He has over 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the manufacture of both API's and drug products.

Before joining David Begg Associates in 1996, Peter was a Principal Medicines Inspector with the UK Medicines Control Agency (now the MHRA), where he spent nine years, and had specialist responsibility in the areas of sterile product manufacture and API's. The opportunity afforded by this position to inspect pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in the UK and many other countries reinforced Peter's extensive GMP knowledge and experience and provided direct involvement in identifying and shaping current regulatory standards and expectations.

Prior to joining the MCA Peter spent 13 years in QC and QA positions in the pharmaceutical industry, in both primary (API) and secondary (dosage form) manufacturing sites.

Peter is married to Carol and they have three sons, none of whom have the remotest interest in sciences, let alone chemistry.
