After a first degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford, Terry gained a PhD in non-clinical medicine from the University of London. He has nearly 30 years� experience of the manufacture and control of plasma products and was until relatively recently Technical Director of Bio Products Laboratory (manufacturing human plasma products for England & Wales).

Terry has in-depth experience of manufacture, quality control and quality assurance of large and small volume parenterals prepared by aseptic processing, many finished by lyophilisation. He is also an acknowledged expert on the processes and GMP requirements for virus elimination from biological products.

A member of British Pharmacopoeia Committee H (Biologicals), and formerly UK expert to European Pharmacopoeia Group 6B (Blood Products), Terry has served on the Biologicals Subcommittee of the Committee on Safety of Medicines, the advisory committee on the Microbiological Safety of Blood and Tissues (MSBT) and the Standing Advisory Committee on Transfusion Transmitted Infections (SACTTI).

Since joining David Begg Associates in 2000, Terry has provided auditing, consultancy and training to most types of pharmaceutical manufacturing activities, including of course manufacturers of sterile products, biologicals and biotechnology products.

He is eligible to act as a Qualified Person.

Between assignments, Terry spends his time reading 20th century fiction, listening to classical music and gardening. He has absolutely no interest in football!
