With extensive and varied experience as a quality professional in the pharmaceutical industry, the regulatory laboratory environment and the National Health Service. Appointments have included quality management positions with Glaxo Manufacturing Services, Head of the (UK) Medicines Testing Laboratory and Regional Quality Controller for Mersey Regional Health Authority.

Tom is a specialist in Quality Management systems for Production, Development and Laboratory operations.

Tom is the originator of the “Live Line Clearance” system for monitoring the effectiveness of packaging line clearance procedures.

He is a Fellow of the UK Royal Pharmaceutical Society and is a member of their panel of assessors for Qualified Persons. He is also a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and was appointed to the British Pharmacopoeia Commission in January 2002.
