Darren joins us from the MHRA, where he spent four years as a GMP Inspector with responsibility for the inspection of manufacturing, testing and distribution sites in the UK and overseas.
Prior to joining the MHRA he spent 18 years with AstraZeneca in various QC, QA, production management and outsourcing roles supporting pharmaceutical manufacture and packaging. He also spent several years working in API manufacture.
He has experience with many dosage forms (for both commercial and development use) but has spent much of his career working with sterile products and in particular complex aseptic manufacture.
He was granted transitional QP status under the Clinical Trials Directive 2001/20/EC.
Darren has a Degree in Applied Biology and is eligible to act as a QP under the permanent provisions.
