Peter is a chemist by profession, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

He has almost 40 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the manufacture of both API’s and drug products.

He also worked for the UK Medicines Control Agency (now the MHRA), where he spent nine years. During this time he became a Principal Medicines Inspector and had specialist responsibility in the areas of sterile product manufacture and API’s. The opportunity afforded by this position to inspect pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in the UK and many other countries reinforced Peter’s extensive GMP knowledge and experience and provided direct involvement in identifying and shaping current regulatory standards and expectations.

Since joining NSF-DBA Peter has continued to build on his experience and understanding of the global pharmaceutical industry. He has provided auditing and consultancy expertise in most countries where there is a significant pharmaceutical industry. This has helped many companies to achieve regulatory approval or to overcome regulatory concerns. He has also shared this experience in the training of many hundreds, or even thousands, of people working in the industry, something he believes in passionately.
