A microbiologist by training, Erika obtained her first degree from the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth and subsequently obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Pharmaceutical Studies from the University of Brighton. In 2002 she was awarded her MBA from the University of Nottingham.

Erika has over 20 years experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, in increasingly senior roles in both Quality Control and Quality Assurance and has worked with all the major pharmaceutical dosage forms, both sterile and non-sterile and with Medical Devices. In addition she has expertise in the controls and systems in the Cosmetics and Toiletry Industries and is a previous Chair of the CTPA Microbiology sub-committee.

Since joining NFS-DBA, Erika has specialised in providing auditing, consultancy and training to manufacturers of sterile and non-sterile products, both pharmaceutical and biological.

Erika is eligible to act as a QP and was a QP assessor for the Institute of Biology, she is a past Chair of the Institute’s Panel of QP Assessors.

Erika is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Strathclyde.
