The US Institute of Medicine (IOM) has released a report entitled “Countering the Problem of Falsified and Substandard Drugs,” which was commissioned by FDA to identify causes and public health consequences of falsified and substandard drugs, recommend strategies to address the problem, and promote global dialogue and action.
